Border Mobility was established in 2000 as a community based transport company for people with disabilities and mobility problems. Father and Son partnership, Steve and Ben Wood took over the company back in April 2005 and re-established the business to include the sale of mobility aids and care products.

Based in Welshpool, the company still provides community transport between Welshpool and Foel.

They invested in the company and grew it so well that Simon Harrison joined the partnership in December 2007 as a third partner with the aim of increasing sales and raising ‘brand awareness’. Business has been very swift since him joining and the company has now diversified into Care & Hygiene Products with a portfolio stretching from toilet rolls and hand towels to bleach, carpet shampoo and alcohol hand gels.

We have recently taken on new premises, doubling our storage capacity and providing a new workshop for scooter and wheelchair servicing and repairs.

Border Mobility are in a perfect position to supply a very comprehensive service to all their clients and currently supply numerous Dentist Practices, Care & Nursing Homes and Veterinary Surgeries, Social Services and not to forget the General Public!

A further arm to the business is the supply and maintenance of a variety of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, scooters, powerchairs, rise-recline chairs, beds, stairlifts and various household gadgets to help people who struggle with any daily living activity.
